About Us

Who makes up Palisade Playhouse?  Here's a bit about us!

Matt has always enjoyed musical theatre performing theatre from when he was a boy, through college.  He has earned a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Utah (2010), and a Master's in Music Education from Carnegie Mellon University (2016).  He currently works full time at PPS Lincoln PreK-5 Elementary school, teaching music, as well as maintaining a private piano studio at home.  Whether it's playing music with his family, or directing a choir, music has always been a part of Matt's life.  Matt wants professionals in all career fields to be able to unwind and enjoy creating music theatre on or off stage.

Michelle's often says "go big or go home."  So, going big (the church is HUGE), and making it home (they're going to make part of the church their "home") seemed like a great idea.  Michelle teaches Let's Play Music - fun piano classes for kids ages 4-9, and is excited to work with kids and kids at heart to put on productions that people of all ages will enjoy.  She has always loved theatre, but has been frustrated that so many shows are inappropriate for children (and her!)!  Michelle wants a place for community theatre to thrive with shows that families can enjoy together.

Matt and Michelle have been married almost 9 years, and have two children - Maggie is 7, and Mason is 5.  They attend Pittsburgh Urban Christian School.  Maggie wants to be an usher for the theatre, and Mason is all about building.  He's really excited to learn how to use lighting and sound equipment.
